Our server with Windows 2003 64 bit operating system crashes every 3 or 4 days, sometimes less. The crash report shows Http.sys as the cause in every case, stating that Http.sys has become corrupted and system must be shut down. How can we find out why and prevent or stop Http.sys from crashing our server.

When you login after your system re-boots from the crash, you should see a message saying it recovered from a major crash. It should show a link to a folder and file holding crash info.
Click on the link, leave message window open. You should see a path to a folder and file, note the folder and path and goto computer and follow the path to folder. Copy folder to desktop. Now open folder and locate the dump file, it has an extension .dmp, copy it to desktop.
To view the dump file, you will need a Blue Screen Viewer, a good one is by NirSoft, download a free version from Google search. Now start the Blue Screen Viewer, under options choose mark files in crash stack then open the .dmp dump file. When you open the dump file, there will be a number of files listed. The top 2 or 3 are what you should note, they are the files in the crash stack. The first one should be HTTP.sys, the second file is more than likely what caused the HTTP.sys to become corrupted. If this file is an application, disable it and watch your system for 3 or 4 days or more to see if your system crashes. If you system doesn't crash, then you know this second file is the problem. Upgrade it to the latest version, if this doesn't help, your better off uninstalling this application.
If the second file is a driver file, upgrade to the latest version. If you have the latest version try rolling the driver back to an earlier version. If you need further help please come back and let us know. We will make every effort to help.

I had the same problem, using your directions, found the problem to be a program called NetWorx. Disabling this program stopped HTTP.sys from crashing. Thanks, saved me a lot of headaches and trouble shooting.
