QuickTime displays photos, videos and performs other multimedia tasks, such as playing music. I would suggest leaving QuickTime and not delete it because many applications use it to allow you to watch videos and trailers in your browser and listen to music. Also if you have iPod, iPad or iPhone you will need iTunes and QuickTime.
