I normally have a lot of images in my folders, but it takes a lot of time to open each file to check it. Is there a way to preview images from My Computer?

In Windows XP switch your file view to filmstrip mode. Open My Computer and navigate to the folder that contains the images you want to view. Right-click within the list of files and then click View and Filmstrip; your images should appear in slideshow form. Click the desired thumbnail to see a larger preview of the image. Not all file types support thumbnail views.
