Vista as well as XP allow certain hardware changes to your PC without requiring reactivation, but certain major changes or a combination of changes, can trigger the reactivation process. However, a bug in the initial release of vista caused reactivations when simpily installing, running or removing programs or installing drivers. You can download a patch to fix the problem from support.microsoft.com/kb/931573. |
