My Windows Media Player takes a long time to change songs. Would updates help with this problem or is there a patch for it?

When you have long delays between songs in Windows Vista Media Player and you're using the most recent drivers for your sound card, try disabling sound enhancements. Open the Sound Control Panel (click the Windows orb in the lower left hand corner of your screen, hover your mouse pointer over Control Panel and click Sound), right click the Speakers icon and click Properties. On the Advanced tab, deselect Enable Audio Enhancements, click OK, and restart your computer.
