When copying files or folders from one hard drive or drive partition to another takes far longer thanit did in WinXp or another operating system, make sure that Vista isn't already running another resource intensive process when you copy the files. Also, you can try disabling Remote Differential Compression, a technology intended to help sync data across different sources. Open the Programs And Features Control Panel, click Turn Windows Features On or Off, click to deselect Remote Differential Compression and click OK. |
