I'm currently using Microsoft Outlook and would like to transfer my email boxes, personal folders, signatures, rules and alerts, forms, etc. to a new computer. Where will I find these files? |

Read everything before you start! 1. "your user name" is your Windows User name without the quotes. 2. If you can't see some of the folders, they are probably hidden. Click on My Computer, Click on C: drive, in the main menu click on Tools, click on Folder Options, click on View, click on option Show Hidden Files and Folders. 3. You may not have all of the files shown and they may not be exactly as shown. 4. These instructions may not work for all Windows operating systems. C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Extend.dat Outlook.bak Outlook.log Outlook.pst Personal Folders.pst C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms Form (.frm) C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Outcmd.dat Outlook.fav Outlook.nk2 (Contacts Nicknames) Outlook.srs (Send-Rec Settings) Outlook.xml (Short Cuts, Calendar, Contact Links) Outlprnt (Print Styles) C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures Signature.rtf Signature.txt Signature.htm C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Application Data\Microsoft\Stationary Stationary (.htm) C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Application Data\Microsoft\Proof Dictionary (.dic) C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates Template (.oft) |
